Update from 10/29/07 5:40pm

Below is an excerpt from the families recent e-mail - click here to read the entire e-mail.

"Jerrod went to the ENT this morning and they said he does not have any permanent hearing loss. Which makes Dr. Moore believe the roar in his ears will be temporary. He said that if there had been high frequency hearing loss that may have indicated permanent damage. Great news!"

In addition, Jerrod was discharged from Medical Center Plano today (a day earlier than expected).  They still must stay in the Plano area for some time (hopefully only about a week).

The picture for this update is of Jerrod and Jill Hall, his occupational therapist this morning.

Prayer requests:

1. Thanksgiving that God has watched over Jerrod.
2. Thanksgiving that God has blessed so many through this event.
3. Praise to God for his wonderful love and comfort - showed through so many.
4. The CT Scan will show continued improvement.
5. That Jerrod will be cleared to travel home within a week.
6. Request that Jerrod will improve in hearing (still has the "roar"), vision (still has some double vision), and speech.

Update from 10/29/07 4:50pm

Carla just called, Jerrod asked the nurse if he could leave, she called the Doctor, and he said yes, so they (Jerry, Carla & Jerrod) are headed to the Apartment.  They still must stay in Plano for some time (probably around a week), but this is GREAT news that Jerrod no longer must stay at the Hospital.
